30 weeks!

Hello everyone! Well, this is my belly pic after lots of yummy Christmas treats! I'm definitely becoming more swollen, especially in my face...grrr. But I'm still feeling great. Today Matt made a book case that looks like a doll house! It is adorable and I can't wait to see it in the nursery once it's all painted.

We had a great Christmas at the Stevenson's house. I got the best gift ever...a pregnancy pillow! I can finally sleep a little better! Not to mention all the wonderful baby gifts we received from our family.

I hope everyone has a great new year!

29 weeks!

Well we had another doctors appointment today! I passed the glucose tolerance test, yay! But I'm pretty anemic...so lots of steak and spinach for me. But, it does explain why I've been sooooo tired and getting headaches! Other than that, baby looks great and is measuring right on for 29 weeks. She likes to kick me under my right ribs and elbow me at my belly button. It's wonderful! Matt and I are still trying to name her....the list is getting longer not shorter! It's a lot of pressure to name someone for the rest of their life!

Also, today I baked for Christmas, the house smells yummy! One of the things I  made are these cute penguin olives. (gotta love pinterest) They turned out really good! I hope everyone has a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!

28 weeks!

Hello 3rd Trimester! I'm very excited to be in the home stretch. Today we bought a crib and dresser! We are getting ready for her arrival slowly but surely! Hopefully this weekend I can convince Matt to paint the nursery! I'll let you know how that goes...haha. As you can see I'm getting huge! As Matt would say..."I'm large and in charge"...but enjoying every minute of it! Hope everyone has a great week!

27 weeks!

Today we met with our new Texas doctor for the first time and he was wonderful! I took the glucose intolerance test as well, hopefully it comes back normal. I like cookies way too much to have gestational diabetes!!! We also got to see our baby girl again! Even in 3D! She is a little over 2 pounds now...crazy! She was in the 65th percentile as far as measurements go, her belly  measured a week ahead...she likes cookies too...

She looks like she has her daddy's nose! She was hiding the whole ultrasound this was the best we could do...She is hiding behind her arm, but you can still see her nose and her cheek...We love her so much already. I can't wait until she arrives!

26 weeks!

Yay 26 weeks! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! As you can see it looks like I ate way too much.

Matt and I are finally getting settled into our new house. We only have a few more boxes in the garage to unpack!! It's exhausting to move when you have a little extra weight in the midsection. Plus I'm not used to having to walk up and down stairs a million times...something I'm going to have to get used to that's for sure!

See Ya Later Alligator...

This week we say goodbye to our Lake Charles home, and hello Houston! This has been the longest we have lived in any one location. 3 whole years! A lot has happened in the past 3 years, but I'm excited to be moving on! This house has been great and Buddy LOVED his huge back yard.

We loved the swamp landscapes here and the way the sunset reflected off the water. We will not be sad to leave the alligators! Matt also started a new hobby of fishing while we lived here, he hates when I go with him because I'm always concerned that he takes too long to take the fish off the hooks and throw them back into the water! I can't see them suffer! :)

We also tried to experience as much of this unique culture in Louisiana as we could. We took several trips to New Orleans. We also tried as much of the crazy food here as we could,  boudin, gumbo, red beans and rice, crawfish, jambalaya, and etouffee. My favorite of course were the beignets at Cafe du Monde.

And most importantly, Matt and I would not be expecting our first child without the help of Dr. Storment and all his staff! We had to travel the 90 miles to Lafayette LA many many times. But it was all worth it! I think the IVF experience and success is what I will remember most about living in Louisiana.

22/23 weeks!

So I've been slacking a little bit on the updates! Sorry! The past couple of weeks have been busy! I traveled back home last weekend for Mike and Laura's wedding in Columbus OH. It was beautiful! It was also wonderful to see the Pesci's again! I have so many wonderful memories growing up with Lisa and Laura.

Well next week is the big move! We are very excited to get settled in the new house. I've been feeling great and baby girl is moving more and more and those kicks are getting really strong! Here is another belly picture...

20 weeks belly bump!

Here is my 20 weeks belly picture! It has definitely become a challenge to buy clothing now! I've been searching for a dress for a wedding (I can't wait Laura!) All the maternity dresses look like muumuus! I finally found a normal dress that has some give in the tummy area! Hopefully my belly doesn't grow too fast in the next couple of weeks!

20 weeks!

Halfway done, and she is a busy girl! She has been moving more and more (or at least I'm feeling it more and more)! Matt was even able to feel a jab last week! His face was priceless and I think it became very real to him! I was able to catch some movement on my phone last night, watch the right side of my stomach, you'll see 2 good kicks in there:

19 weeks!

Hi everyone! 19 weeks and counting! We had an ultrasound with our doctor today and everything looks good! We got a couple of ultrasound pictures but they aren't scanning right to my computer for some reason! Grr. So this is the best I could do with my cell phone. I don't know if you can tell but she is curled in a ball with her legs above her head!

I have slowly started to buy some pink things...so much fun! I have also started a list of things I need to buy...OVERWHELMING! Any suggestions on things you couldn't live without or products you loved would be appreciated!

Here is my belly picture from last week...She's growing! (oh and the numbers are all pink now!)

It's a...

Matt and I had a great weekend in Indiana and a busy week in Houston! We were able to go to my cousin's wedding in South Bend and we found a house in Houston!! We were also able to surprise both of our families with the gender of our baby!

For Matt's parents we sent them a DVD of the ultrasound revealing the secret, they had no idea we even had the ultrasound done so that was fun! We got a great phone call, they were very happy :)

For my family we were able to surprise them during the wedding weekend. We made cake pops with pink/blue in the middle revealing the surprise! Here are some pictures!

 ITS A GIRL!

I also can't wait until we can bring our baby girl into our new home! We should close Nov. 17th!

Pink or Blue?

So Matt and I have a huge secret! We know what we are having!!! We had an ultrasound done last week at 16 weeks and found out! We can't say what it is just yet! We are telling my parents this weekend when we are in town for a wedding! It is so hard not to tell everyone!! Stay tuned for the big reveal...

15 weeks!

15 weeks yay! We had an appointment with our doctor yesterday, nothing exciting, no ultrasound :( we did hear the heartbeat on doppler (which I could have done at home). But, it was reassuring to hear the doctor say the heart sounded good and had a good heart rate of 163.

The baby and my stomach are growing! I purchased some maternity jeans, which are really cute and super comfy! I don't think I'm going back to regular jeans :). I can't wait until I really look pregnant though! Right now I'm in the awkward, "look at that girl she needs to lay off the cheeseburgers" phase!

Last week the baby went to his/her first Purdue football game! We met Matt's parents in Houston for the Purdue/Rice football game. We won't mention the horrible, horrible outcome...no Hope for Purdue! It was really HOT outside, but once we found the shade (and the slushies) it was a really good time!

Well I better go clean the house and get it ready to go on the market! Anyone wanna move to Louisiana? There is a nice house for sale :)!

14 weeks!

Another week down! Now in my 2nd trimester my appetite has increased 10 fold! I can't eat enough...My craving for the past couple of weeks have been oranges and chocolate milk, can't get enough! My only food aversion has been lettuce or salad, yuck. I normally love salads, but lately it makes me want to gag!

Another change in the 2nd trimester is going to be our location. The Stevenson family is on the move AGAIN! We are officially  moving to Houston. Thus begins the house hunting process, which is going to be fun planning where the nursery will go! I also can't wait for all the good shopping awaiting me in Houston!! (sorry Matt). Speaking of shopping I found this online and have to get it...

13 Weeks!

Another week down! I can't believe I have made it this far. After having a miscarriage almost 3 years ago at 11 weeks and then again a year and a half ago at 6 weeks, I can't help but feel scared all the time that something bad is going to happen. With this pregnancy after 9 weeks I did some research and found a fetal doppler, which is now my new obsession! There is nothing better then after a long 12 hour shift, sitting on the couch and listening to my baby's heartbeat. I thought I would share that experience with you!

Belly Pictures!

Here are my belly pictures! Since I had OHSS my stomach started out a little bigger than normal (so I like to tell myself, haha)
