8/9 months!

The last 2 months have flown by and I can't believe how much Charlotte has changed and continues to change. We just had our 9 month appointment. No shots thank goodness! She was 27.95 inches, and 16 lbs! She is just above 50th percentile for height and 15th percentile for weight. My little string bean!

So, I guess we have to start back to October! That was a fun month. Charlotte was still not crawling, but doing "the worm" (up on all fours then fall forward, up on all fours then fall forward...not the most efficient, but it got her from point A to B.) We went to Dewberry Farms with our friends Heather and Jesse and got lost in a corn maze and looked at the pumpkins. It was HOT that day, but we had a good time! We had professional pictures taken this month also. Charlotte was not in the mood to smile of course, but we got some cute pictures! The week of Halloween Charlotte had her Halloween party at story time...she was one cute ladybug!

November, Charlotte turned 8 months and finally started to crawl on all fours! And, of course she did it while I was cleaning the kitchen and Dad was playing with her upstairs... I just hear "SHE'S CRAWLING!" being yelled and I raced upstairs! That was a fun night! The next day we baby proofed the house. We had Thanksgiving at Grandma and Grandpa Stevenson's house. We had a great time! Charlotte had cranberries for the first time, which she gave the best sour face and spit them out. She's not a fan. Charlotte also got her two bottom teeth finally! No real signs of teething, just one day I was feeding her and she bit down on my finger, ouch there's a tooth! Then the next week, tooth number two appeared! Fingers crossed all her teeth come in without any teething pain!

Charlotte still loves to dance and sing! She has started to point at things and wave hello! She has the pincer grasp down and has started to eat puffs! When Buddy barks I guess I always say "Buddy, shh!" and now she says "shh" when she sees buddy or any other dog. It's really funny! She pulls herself up on everything and loves to walk holding on to mom and dad's fingers. We are looking forward to her first Christmas in Indiana! Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

7 months!

"Oh Charlotte" pretty much sums up the last month! She is CONSTANTLY moving, although not quite crawling yet. She rolls from one end of the house to the other, and doesn't have much motivation to crawl when she can get what she wants just fine.  We have been going to a couple of story times a week and she loves to watch the other babies! We walk to the park down the street a couple times a week to swing and get some fresh air. Saying Charlotte is a talker is an understatement. She "talks" nonstop complete with whispering and yelling and everything in between. Solid food is still not going well, she clamps down those lips the second the spoon gets near her mouth. Hopefully this doesn't mean she'll be a picky eater! Oh well...
Here are some pictures from the last month, enjoy!

Just hangin' around...

First trip to the zoo!
Lets just say the monthly photo shoots are only getting harder...now she can reach the sign!

Then she figured out how to rock the chair....

She can only stand for a few seconds at a time, but just long enough to get some Buddy love

a little audience to give her encouragement to crawl
