This week we say goodbye to our Lake Charles home, and hello Houston! This has been the longest we have lived in any one location. 3 whole years! A lot has happened in the past 3 years, but I'm excited to be moving on! This house has been great and Buddy LOVED his huge back yard.
We loved the swamp landscapes here and the way the sunset reflected off the water. We will not be sad to leave the alligators! Matt also started a new hobby of fishing while we lived here, he hates when I go with him because I'm always concerned that he takes too long to take the fish off the hooks and throw them back into the water! I can't see them suffer! :)
We also tried to experience as much of this unique culture in Louisiana as we could. We took several trips to New Orleans. We also tried as much of the crazy food here as we could, boudin, gumbo, red beans and rice, crawfish, jambalaya, and etouffee. My favorite of course were the beignets at Cafe du Monde.
And most importantly, Matt and I would not be expecting our first child without the help of Dr. Storment and all his staff! We had to travel the 90 miles to Lafayette LA many many times. But it was all worth it! I think the IVF experience and success is what I will remember most about living in Louisiana.
