13 Weeks!

Another week down! I can't believe I have made it this far. After having a miscarriage almost 3 years ago at 11 weeks and then again a year and a half ago at 6 weeks, I can't help but feel scared all the time that something bad is going to happen. With this pregnancy after 9 weeks I did some research and found a fetal doppler, which is now my new obsession! There is nothing better then after a long 12 hour shift, sitting on the couch and listening to my baby's heartbeat. I thought I would share that experience with you!

Belly Pictures!

Here are my belly pictures! Since I had OHSS my stomach started out a little bigger than normal (so I like to tell myself, haha)

Baby Stevenson!

As many of you know our journey to parenthood has not been easy! After three years and two miscarriages and two failed IUI attempts we moved on to IVF and it worked!!! Here are some pictures from our journey...

IVF is a 3 month process...not fun for someone who is impatient! But it was well worth it!
Since we couldn't drink, we turned our wine rack into a medication rack :)
 Three shots every night...
 OUCH!
The side effect...I ended up with OHSS (ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome) I gained 20 pounds of fluid and had to have 1 liter of fluid drained from my abdomen. I was sick as a dog, vomiting every 5 minutes :( not fun, but totally worth it!
 The result!!
6 weeks! Matt and I heard the heartbeat for the first time! Most amazing sound ever!
Since I have a history of miscarriages we get to see the baby every 2 weeks for the first trimester. This is the ultrasound from 8 weeks, head on the right booty on the left!
10 weeks! Saw the baby move for the first time!
12 weeks! Doctor couldn't get a clear picture because baby was moving so much. We were so excited to reach the 12 week mark, I can finally breathe a little! Matt and I are excited to have this blog to keep our family and friends posted on our progress!
